Johanns wants tax cuts, incentives
By the Lincoln Journal Star
Republican Senate nominee Mike Johanns said permanent tax cuts and new incentives for small and medium-sized businesses will help strengthen the economy.
Johanns unveiled his economic plan Monday at appearances in Omaha, Columbus and Hastings.
“I have seen the toll high prices and a sluggish economy (is) taking on hard-working Nebraskans,” he said.
“We need to keep taxes low, lessen government interference and invest in our nation’s infrastructure.”
Johanns said he would support investment in rural development, research, technology and infrastructure with statewide access to broadband Internet service.
Training and educational opportunities need to be enhanced, he said.
“Small and medium-sized businesses need the ability to invest in their future growth and job creation, which is why I support allowing them to expense up to $200,000 of their capital investment annually, with a total cap of $800,000,” Johanns said.
“I have been clear in my support for making tax cuts for families and small businesses permanent,” he said.
Johanns received the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business this week.

10 years ago, I didn't pay $3.50 for a gallon of milk, $4 for a gallon of gas or $9 for a pack of chicken. These prices all went up under the Bush-Johanns administration.
Hey Mike, you worked for Bush, remember? You left the Department of Agriculture without passing a farm bill, which would have helped Nebraskans. You left the Governor's Office without fixing our mental health care system. And now you ask voters to send you to the US Senate?
Thanks for nothing, Mikey. "

the money and get elected!! Don't be fooled AGAIN!! Notice he could care
less for the citizens of this state, he's out for the BIG bucks!! Its the
individuals that are screaming for lower taxes, but as long as he's got
his millions, who cares!!! "

ANSWER: Sell the U.S. off bit by bit to the Middle East, India, and China. Sooner or later, they will call in their debts and leave us high and dry. Sounds like a great plan to me.
He says that now, but when we will see what he truly does, if he gets elected. His record doesn't support him following up on a lot of election promises. He bailed on the farm bill, bailed on the state as governor, etc, etc. "
